The Michigan basketball program is set to lose a veteran point guard to a conference rival.
After initially making the decision to transfer to Quinnipiac, graduate transfer Andrew Dakich found himself with the opportunity to make the jump to the Ohio State Buckeyes and immediately made that jump.
The news was first reported by Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com.
Dakich, who initially joined the Wolverines as a walk-on, is the son of ESPN commentator Dan Dakich.
Michigan grad transfer Andrew Dakich told ESPN that he will be playing at Ohio State next season. Chris Holtmann needed help in backcourt.

During his time at Michigan which included 49 appearances, Dakich averaged just .4 points and .5 rebounds in just 4.6 minutes per game.
Dakich will now have the opportunity to play against his former team twice during the upcoming college basketball season once conference play begins.
