Penn State Football Gets Visit From Method Man

Method Man made a name for himself as a member of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. For all intents and purposes, the world will always remember him as one of the premier names in hip-hop history. But these days, he’s busying himself trying to secure his son’s future as football player.
Method Man was in full Dad-mode while taking his son Raekwon to an elite prospects camp at Penn State. Raekwon Smith is going to be a member of the 2020 recruiting class and is hoping to start garnering offers from some of the bigger schools in the country.
The rap legend stopped to take a photo with one of the younger FBS coaches in the league, Penn State coach James Franklin. At only 45 years old, Method Man’s height of popularity with the Wu-Tang Clan coincides with Franklin’s adolescence.

In his personal life, Method Man goes by his given name, Clifford Smith. His son Raekwon is a promising defensive back from Curtis High School in Staten Island, New York. Because it is so early in the recruiting process, little is known about Raekwon’s skills. But the fact that he is attending these kind of events means that he will be a top-prospect when they start ranking his class.
He is still several years away from that, though. If history is any indication, there will be no shortage of schools lining up to give him an education in exchange for his football talent.
Having Method Man on as a booster doesn’t hurt either.
