Clemson Is College Football’s Social Media King

|

The Clemson football program is the king of social media when it comes to the rest of the NCAA.

The fine folks over at College Spun have noticed that the Tigers have overtaken the Michigan Wolverines as the most followed social media account in college football. Clemson has just over 710,000 followers on Twitter, surpassing Jim Harbaugh’s squad.

Don’t feel too bad for Harbaugh, though, because he remains the most followed coach in college football.

The boost in social media followers likely came from the Tigers’ national championship victory over Alabama, but you’ll take the victories where you can get them.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers open up their 2017 campaign and national title defense on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Kent State at home.
