Paul Finebam Doesn't Think Lane Kiffin Will Coach Ole Miss

Immediately after Hugh Freeze stepped down as Ole Miss football coach, the internet went into a frenzy and immediately tried to fill the void with their own fantasies and predictions.
A popular choice to replace Freeze in the eyes of social media was FAU’s Lane Kiffin, who accepted the Owls head coaching job last season after serving as Alabama offensive coordinator, but don’t count on that happening according to ESPN’s Paul Finebaum.
Kiffin simply wouldn’t be a fit for Ole Miss, a program deep in controversy, according to Finebaum.
“He is young, he is offensive-minded and he comes with a lot of controversy,” Finebaum said while appearing on SportsCenter.

“I would bet against Lane for this particular job. I think he would really help a program but I think Ole Miss has dealt with way too much controversy and Lane Kiffin brings the circus wherever he goes.”
The fact that Ole Miss is currently under a serious NCAA investigation also hurts the Rebels chances of landing a big name coach, with the sanctions the school will receive currently unknown.
