The Cleveland Cavaliers drama involving LeBron James and Kyrie Irving is only getting starting.
It was just a few days ago that the world learned Irving reportedly wanted out of Cleveland, and now ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is painting an even darker picture of the relationship between the two NBA stars.
According to Smith, “sources” in LeBron’s camp say that if he came face-to-face with Irving right now he would be tempted to “beat his ass.”
Yep, that’s where we’re at right now.
“I’ve had sources in LeBron James’ camp literally tell me, and I’m quoting—I’m quoting, Charles!—if Kyrie Irving was in front of LeBron James right now, LeBron James would be tempted, quote, to beat his ass, end quote,” Smith said on his radio show Monday afternoon.

Can’t we all just get along?
Ultimately, the Cavaliers have the final say on whether Irving leaves town. But if the growing tensions are real, something will have to be done.
If not, even more damage will be done and Cleveland could ultimately risk losing LeBron James to free agency next offseason. And we all know that is the franchise’s biggest fear.
