P.J. Fleck Shows Up To Big Ten Media Days With A Bald Head

When PJ Fleck took a job with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, he called it a dream come true.
Fleck was thrilled to be coaching in the Big Ten. Now it appears that the step into the spotlight is stressing him out beyond belief. The charismatic coach showed up to media day without a hair on his head.
While the coach was as sharply dressed as ever, the new look certainly caught the Golden Gopher faithful off guard.

We learned one thing from his bald head: he doesn’t back down on a bet. The coach apparently lost a bet he made with his wife with the stipulation being he’d have to shave his head if he lost. We don’t know what the bet was at this point, or what his wife would have had to do if she lost.
The former Western Michigan coach will be looking to lead the Golden Gophers to their first double-digit win season since 2003, and only their second since 1905. They won nine games last year under former head coach Tracey Claeys, who was fired for being on the wrong side of a player protest at the end of the season.
