Conor McGregor-mania is running wild as the UFC lightweight champion prepares for his superfight against boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
With all of the media attention McGregor is receiving, fans are always on the lookout for a chance to meet their favorite fighter.
That led to a hilarious video coming out of Venice Beach.
Islam Badurgov, a bodybuilder from Kazakhstan, was suited up with shades, McGregor’s signature style and temporary tattoos before making his stroll down Venice Beach and he was able to convince dozens of fans that he was the real McGregor. Despite not looking like McGregor and not sounding like him, fans were in awe of his presence.
Badurgov signed autographs, posed for photos and really had folks convinced.
The dead giveaway should have been the size difference between McGregor and Badurgov, but hey, sometimes you see what you really want to believe. And for the McGregor fans who thought they just met their hero and posted the photos all over social media, well, let’s hope they don’t come across this video.
