VIDEO: ESPN '30 For 30' Trailer For 'What Carter Lost'

Most of us only know the story because of the “Friday Night Lights.”
But the aftermath not covered by the film is where the story really started to take off for the Dallas Carter football program. Shortly after winning the state championship, a string of robberies and violations would lead to criminal charges, and eventually having the title stripped altogether.
The documentary, titled “What Carter Lost” released it’s first trailer on Monday.
Given the familiarity with the subject, and the numerous films that have been made as satellites to the story, it will be endlessly fascinating to see the actual participants of the events speak on the matter. Check it out:

The film is in the care of a veteran film maker Adam Hootnick. Having produced documentaries Serge Ibaka, and the bombing at the Atlanta Olympics, it appears the film will have the polished of a seasoned hand.
“What Carter Lost” will premier on ESPN at 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 24.
