On Tuesday morning, the Notre Dame football program announced the passing of legendary coach Ara Parseghian, who was 94 years old.
Parseghian was hospitalized last month because of a hip infection, but he had recently returned home.
Notre Dame honored Parseghian with the video above on social media.
During his time as Notre Dame head coach, Parseghian led the Fighting Irish to a record of 95-17-4, which included two national championships. He also coached at Northwestern for eight seasons and Miami (Ohio) for five, racking up a career record of 170-58-6.
Our deepest condolences go out to all of Parseghian family and friends during this difficult time.
