The Arizona football program will honor their most notable alumni on the opening weekend of the 2017 season.
With the Wildcats opening the season at home against Northern Arizona, they’ve planned a promotion that is sure to be a fan favorite. The Gronk Spike bobblehead will be given away to 10,000 lucky fans in the stadium during the third quarter of the game.
Here’s how it will work, per the specifications that the Wildcats posted on their website. Every fan who attends the game will be given a colored voucher when the enter the stadium. During the third quarter of the game, they will announce the winning color, at which point all those possessing a winning color voucher can redeem their “Gronk Spike” bobblehead.
For those who don’t have the winning color, they go home with a colored piece of paper. All season ticket holders are guaranteed to receive a bobblehead if they are in attendance that day.
After graduating from Arizona, Gronk went on to become the favorite target of Tom Brady with the New England Patriots. Even while battling injuries over the past several seasons, he has set NFL records and remains an unstoppable force running up the seam of the defense.
