ESPN’s College GameDay will open the season in Atlanta for the Alabama vs. Florida State game, while the SEC Network and SEC Nation are heading to one of opening weekend’s other marquee matchups.
On Thursday, it was announced that SEC Nation will travel to Arlington, Texas to kickoff the season at the Florida vs. Michigan game.
The fourth season of the show kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 2 with a special three-hour edition.
“Like all SEC fans, we’ve been counting the days until the return of football, and we have a show worthy of bridging the final few hours until kickoff,” said Tom McCollum, ESPN coordinating producer, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be at one of the very best opening weekend games and excited to see Laura, Les, Lauren and our all-star set of analysts in action.”
Laura Rutledge will serve as the new SEC Nation host while joined by analysts Paul Finebaum, Marcus Spears and Tim Tebow.
According to the press release, former LSU football coach Les Miles will be swinging by the booth as a special analyst on opening weekend, so get your popcorn ready.
