The good times keep rolling.
While an endless stream of walk-on football players were featured getting full athletic scholarships on viral internet videos, South Carolina defensive back Jay Charleston kept doing his job. On Tuesday night, his dream came true.
At the conclusion of practice, the sophomore was told that the University of South Carolina was now paying for his education, and he was promptly mobbed by his teammates.

While most videos are elaborate and employ the use of different themes or forms of deceit, this one was very straightforward. You have to appreciate the matter-of-fact way the ball coach made a young mans dream come true. Cool as a cucumber. Cold as ice.
The Gamecocks enter their second year under coach Will Muschamp, and hope to improve on last seasons 6-7 record. With concerns of how he was gong to pay for his education off the table, he can now focus on football and his studies.
I certainly hope this isn’t the last of these videos to make the rounds before the season starts. With the FBS season opening kickoff just around the corner, time is winding down to award any of those hard working walk-ons their full ride.
