Houston Basketball Coach Asks Coaches To Donate Sneakers For Hurricane Relief

Houston basketball coach Kelvin Sampson is calling on his fellow coaches across the country to help out the city which has seen catastrophic flooding following Hurricane Harvey.
Sampson took to social media to send out a message asking for coaches at all levels to send shirts and sneakers to his office that will later be sent to appropriate charities assisting in the hurricane relief.
Sampson is asking coaches from high school through all levels of college to answer his call by sending 20 shirts and 10 pairs of sneakers each.

The University of Houston has also provided resources on how to make cash donations.
Houston has been underwater since the weekend when Hurricane Harvey led to mass rainfall in the area. And the city isn’t out of the clear yet, with the storm expected to circle back into the gulf before striking the Houston area once again bringing the rainfall to a whopping 50 inches.
