Country music star Sam Hunt is set to serve as the first celebrity guest picker of the season on ESPN’s College GameDay.
Late Thursday night, Hunt sent a reply on social media to confirm he will be making the trip to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia for the marquee matchup between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Florida State.
Hunt, a native of Georgia, is no stranger to the college football world.
During his time in college, Hunt served as a quarterback for the UAB Blazers. In 2007, Hunt threw for 1,905 yards and threw 10 touchdowns.
Now, he will be sharing his insight on some of the top games in college football for Week 1.
It all started when College GameDay host Kirk Herbstreit teased the possibility on Twitter.
Heard @SamHuntMusic is gonna be at UAB Friday night… Wonder if he can swing by ATL Saturday AM and join @CollegeGameDay??

A few minutes later, Hunt confirmed it was a done deal.
