If ever there were “you had one job” moment, this is it. Special teams players don’t get a lot of respect for what they do on the field, however important it might be.
This isn’t going to make matters any better for the Wyoming punter Tim Zaleski.
While attempting to pin the Iowa offense as far back as possible, he forgot to actually kick the ball. Here’s one that is sure to appear on Sportscenter’s “Not top-10.”

Wyoming trailed Iowa 21-3 in the fourth quarter and this isn’t likely to help matters. If the Cowboys had any chance of winning this game, they were going to have to play perfectly on both sides of the ball, and come up with several big plays.
This isn’t that.
Chances are the punter felt the rush coming and lost his focus. But considering this is the entire basis by which he is on the team, it’s as unforgivable a mistake a punter can make.
