Young Boy Visits Oregon State QB Jake Luton In Hospital To Deliver A Cupcake

You never know what small gesture can lift your spirits when you’re feeling down, but for Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton it was a cupcake.
During the Beavers’ Week 3 clash with Washington State, Luton suffered a thoracic spine fracture that sent him to the hospital.
While he was recovering, one young fan made an incredibly heart-warming gesture by having his mom take him to the hospital to visit Luton and present him with a small gift.
Luton took to social media to share the story of Silas, who visited the signal-caller along with his mother to give him a cupcake and make sure he was doing well on his road to recovery.
“I had never met this boy before, but I wish he knew how much he impacted my life that night. His mother told me that he had watched me on TV, and insisted that they bring me a cupcake and make sure that I was O.K. During a night of pain and uncertainty, this little boy stayed up past his bedtime and went out of his way to come to the hospital and bring me a cupcake,” Suton wrote.

“Someday I won’t remember every play and every game I’ve been a part of; but I will always remember you, and the love and kindness that you showed me on that night.”
What a great moment.
Luton was later released from the hospital and is listed as week-to-week for the Beavers.
