On Thursday night, Beyoncé dropped a surprise remix and music video.
The pop star appears as a featured artist in a remake of J. Balvin and Willy William’s hit “Mi Gente.”
Beyoncé announced the news on Instagram, saying proceeds from the new song will benefit hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. A list of vetted charities also appears on Beyoncé’s official website.
“I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean Islands,” Beyoncé wrote.
Beyoncé is just the latest celebrity to use her platform to raise money and help those who need it the most.
Following the devastating flooding in her hometown of Houston caused by Hurricane Harvey, Beyoncé launched BeyGOOD Houston. Now, she’s continuing her relief efforts with the “Mi Gente” remix.
