LaMelo Ball might just be the most talented hooper in the Big Baller Brand stable. That’s saying something when you consider that his brother Lonzo was taken No. 2 overall in the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, and is expected to be a cornerstone for the franchise.
But what LaMelo is doing at only 16 years old is undeniably impressive. Say what you will about the level of competition he faced when he slammed this one home, but getting up and finishing against any level of competitions is a feat unto itself.
Facing off in a little scrimmage basketball against YouTubers CashNasty, Kristopher London, JesserTheLazer and 50Kal Mal, Melo was clearly a cut above the competition.
The highlight of the entire game was his contested dunk and subsequent celebration.
LaMelo catches a lot of heat for being spoiled, cocky and unduly confident. Those things may very well be true, but that’s probably the attitude that he’s going to ride to UCLA, then a lottery selection in the NBA.
As Lonzo prepares to make his NBA debut in the coming weeks, the bulk of the social media attention has switched over to LaMelo. If you’re LiAngelo, you can’t help but feel like the forgotten Ball brother.
