Philadelphia sports fans don’t have a great reputation to begin with. This probably isn’t going to make things any better.
FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd took three minutes out of his show to lay into Philadelphia sports fans, saying they comprise the “dumbest sports city in America.”
Even if you’re not a fan of Colin Cowherd, which is most people, it’s hard to argue with some of arguments here.

The Eagles and the Phillies both have dedicated fan bases that expect to win every season. When that doesn’t happen, they don’t hesitate to make their feelings known.
“Maybe Philly fans just don’t like the word ‘Reid’, they don’t like to read. I don’t know what it is,” Cowherd quipped.
While taking stabs at the intelligence of a fanbase might be out of line, it’s the kind of thing that Colin Cowherd has made his career doing. Don’t expect any apologies coming after this one. Aside from a few more personal attacks on the city, Cowherd isn’t wrong.
After all, this is a city that booed Santa Claus before throwing snowballs at him.
