What do you do when the Phil Collins drum solo comes on during his hit song “In The Air Tonight”? Chances are it’s exactly what Tommy Stevens and the Penn State football team did during a practice this week.
The Nittany Lions backup quarterback was walking to the line of scrimmage while running the offense, but he had to take a quick break from his pre-snap reads to do what anyone with a pulse does every time the song comes on: kill it on the air drums.
Stevens wasn’t alone, though.
Reporters at practiced managed to capture video of a number of Penn State players perfectly nailing the drum solo, because you really just can’t resist.
Check out Stevens smoothly hitting the solo while walking to the line:

And here are his teammates — running back Mark Allen (No. 8), offensive lineman Ryan Bates (No. 52), tight ends Jonathan Holland (No. 18) and Nick Bowers (No. 83) — joining in on the fun.

Simply amazing.
Penn State will hope to remain this loose over the weekend when the unbeaten team makes the trip to Evanston, Illinois for a meeting with Big Ten foe Northwestern. Kickoff is set for noon ET on ABC.
