VIDEO: Florida Football Fans Get Engaged On Live TV During SEC Nation

Nothing will help you remember the day you were engaged liked a crowd of Florida football fans doing “the chomp” on live TV.
On Saturday’s edition of SEC Nation, that’s exactly what happened. As the camera panned across handmade signs and cheering fans, one man seized the opportunity and proposed to his beloved.
The gesture was met with encouraging cheers from the crowd and the SEC Nation cast.
Aside from the awkward shoulder tap right beforehand, very nice. Laura Rutledge was “Johnny-on-the-spot” with the details of the soon to be newlyweds. How she had all that info on them immediately following the proposal is impressive. That’s why they pay her the big bucks.

Here’s the happy couple after their special moment:

The only way this day could get better for the lovely couple would be a Gators victory.
Florida is facing off against SEC rival LSU in Gainesville this afternoon. Neither team has been the powerhouse fans have grown accustomed to seeing, and the matchup might have lost some luster as a result. But a big win over a conference rival could reinvigorate the victorious team and their fanbase.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 on CBS.
For the first time, Baron and Abby will watch the game whilst betrothed.
