During Saturday’s game between Western Michigan and Buffalo — which went a whopping seven overtimes — WMU tight end Donnie Ernsberger had a family celebration in the endzone.
Ernsberger scored a touchdown in the first overtime of the game.
After reaching the endzone, who was greeted by his sister who came rushing onto the field. Ernsberger’s sister gave him a hug and then was escorted off of the field. Western Michigan received a 15-yard penalty for the sister act.
While his sister did get kicked out of the game and didn’t get to see the final six overtimes from the stands, it was a pretty great moment.
This will definitely give the Ernsbergers to talk about this year over the holidays.
