Ice Cream Company Makes Pitch For ESPN College GameDay To Penn State

A local ice cream company is doing its best to bring ESPN College GameDay to the Penn State campus next weekend.

The Berkey Creamery took to social media this week to show off a shipment that is being sent to ESPN College GameDay host Rece Davis with a special message.

The ice cream company is hoping to get College GameDay to State College for an Oct. 21 clash with Michigan.

Check out the nice gesture below:

The effort has made a positive impact so far.

Davis took to social media to share his appreciation, so the shipment definitely didn’t hurt Penn State’s chances.

Well this is awesome. Thank you!

ESPN last hosted College GameDay on the Penn State campus last season for the Big Ten Championship on Dec. 3. At the time, Penn State was ranked No. 8 in the nation while Wisconsin was No. 6. The Nittany Lions came away with a 38-31 win, but ultimately fell short of the College Football Playoff.

This season, they’re hoping to be one of the final four programs standing for a chance at the national title.
