A week after slamming president Donald Trump in a devastating freestyle rap, the people of Detroit appear to still Eminem in their good graces.
In fact, if his appearance in at the Detroit Pistons season opener is any indication, he’s as popular as ever.
The rapper made an appearance on the big board and attempted to hype up the audience; he was met with uproarious applause. Kid Rock, who was also in attendance, wasn’t.
For as much as the fans cheered on Eminem, the Detroit Free Press is reporting that they booed Kid Rock.
Either fans have unanimously come to the decision that Kid Rock’s music is worthy of being booed (which I concede is entirely possible), or there are some political implications coming into play.
It’s a safe bet to guess it’s the latter.
Kid Rock has been very supportive of Donald Trump and met with him at the White House in April. He’s hinted at possibly running for a Senate seat, but ultimately decided to focus his attentions on voter registration instead.
The best thing he’s every done remains appearing in the film Joe Dirt with David Spade.
