This weekend of college football we’ll see an even mix of throwbacks, homages and never-before-seen uniform combinations.
Notably, Northern Colorado breaks out one of it’s 36 different uniform combinations, and if any of them are more dapper than what they’ll be wearing this week, they’ll be turning heads. Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan will look to relive some of the success their 1987 California Bowl team enjoyed; they’re wearing the same combination this week in their homecoming game.
Boise State is wearing their all blue uniforms and playing at home, which means they are going to be invisible on the field this week.
A notable absence from ESPN’s weekly uniform coverage are the Syracuse Orange. Coming off a massive upset to the defending National Champion Clemson Tigers, they’re looking to knock off the eighth ranked Miami Hurricanes.
They’ll be wearing their “winter is coming” edition uniforms, and looking to freeze a Miami team that has been scorching hot to start the season.

San Diego State will don perhaps the most menacing color combo in sports: red and black. But they’ll be sporting a decal dedicated to their ultimate superman who recently passed away.
Tom Ables, a San Diego Aztec supporter, made it to 788 of the last 794 games. The decal will feature his initials and the slogan “788 & Counting.”

If you play good when you look good, they we should see a clean sweep by all of these teams!
