VIDEO: Iowa State DC Takes Football To The Head From Errant Pass

-

It’s funny because he’s fine. This is one that Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock isn’t going to live down anytime soon.

During the Cyclones matchup against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Heacock took a shot to the head from an errant pass.

While he was looking in the opposite direction, the pass comes flying in from the field of play drills him across the face.

Not sure who the guy in the red hat is that was ducking behind him, but he’ll have some explaining to do later on. Once the coaches reach the locker room and have a laugh about this, he better have an excuse ready. He clearly saw the ball coming and ducked behind the defensive coordinator, who dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Iowa State is giving Texas Tech the business, and are well on their way to a 5-2 record this season.

Those kinds of things hurt less when you win.
