VIDEO: Iowa State Fans Storm Field After Upsetting No. 4 TCU

This is going cost the Iowa State football program big time dollars in fines, but the athletic department is probably cool with it. The Cyclones are having one of their best years on the football field in program history, and it only got better this weekend.

The Cyclones scored just enough points on offense, and stifled the TCU Horned Frogs on defense to pull off a major upset. After four quarters, the Iowa State Cyclone fans couldn’t keep their excitement in the stands.

They swarmed the field in a way that you only see in zombie movies.

This loss is sure to shake things up in the College Football Playoffs race. Iowa State probably won’t sneak into he conversation, but they opened the door for a number of teams hovering the periphery.

The No. 4 Horned Frogs were expected to be one of the teams named in the College Football Playoff committee’s inaugural 2017 rankings. After this loss, and the one handed to the Penn State Nittany Lions, it’s anyone’s guess what the top four will look like.
