Duke Basketball: Mike Krzyzewski Records 1,000th Win With Blue Devils

Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski has hit another milestone in his Hall of Fame career.
On Saturday night, Coach K led the Blue Devils to a 60-39 victory over the Utah Valley Wolverines. The win was Krzyzewski’s 1,000th win leading the Duke program, making him the first men’s Division I head coach to record 1,000 wins with the same school.
Star freshman Marvin Bagley III led the way for Duke with 24 points and 10 rebounds on the night.
After the win, the Blue Devils honored their coach with an incredible tribute video on social media that shows his journey with the program throughout history.

Krzyzewski’s overall record at Duke is 1,000-271.
Prior to joining Duke, Krzyzewski coached at his alma mater, West Point, where he recorded another 73 wins. Coach K became the first men’s DI coach to top the 1,000-win mark back in 2015 and he’s still setting records and at the top of the college basketball world two years later.
