Trace McSorley has officially accounted for more touchdowns than any other player to ever wear a Penn State Nittany Lions uniform. That’s saying something when you consider how old and storied the PSU program is.
McSorley scrambled for 20-yards and a touchdown to break the record, notching his 66th career touchdown score.

Through the air and on the ground, McSorley was the engine that drove a Nittany Lions victory on Saturday against Rutgers. He threw for two touchdowns and 214-yards, adding a third touchdown on the ground.
While the season has full of personal accolades for McSorley, the overall season has been a disappointment. As a two-loss team, the Penn State Nittany Lions are all but eliminated from playoff contention. The record-breaking quarterback will have the option to return to Penn State next season as a senior, but with a number of players likely on their way out, his future is in doubt.
Regardless of what his next move is, McSorley has been a dynamic force for the Nittany Lions since arriving on campus. Even a program like Penn State which is flush with talent will have a hard time finding a replacement for him.
