Suspected Tampa Serial Killer Played College Basketball At St. John's

On Wednesday morning, Trai Donaldson, whose birth name is Howell Emanuel Donaldson III, was arrested by Tampa police as a suspect in four random killings throughout the area between mid-October and mid-November.
Donaldson was arrested at a McDonald’s where he had a loaded gun which police determined was the gun used in at least three of the killings.
Little is known about Donaldson at this time, but a report from the New York Post shows he had a brief college basketball career as a member of the St. John’s Red Storm.
Donaldson was reportedly a walk-on guard during the 2011-12 season. He never appeared in a game for the Red Storm.
His profile appeared on the St. John’s athletics website, but has since been removed.

Victims during Donaldson’s killing spree range from age 22 to 60.
