LiAngelo Ball and LaMelo Ball can say goodbye to any chance of taking the court at the collegiate level.
According to their outspoken father, LaVar, the duo has signed with agent Harrison Gaines, older brother Lonzo’s agent. That ends any speculation about whether 16-year-old LaMelo will ever play college basketball.
LaVar announced the news to ESPN on Thursday.
“I don’t care about the money,” LaVar said. “I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team.”
The news comes after LiAngelo was pulled from UCLA following an indefinite suspension for his arrest in China. LaVar had previously pulled LaMelo from Chino Hills High School to focus on training for his future on the court.
Will any of the top clubs in Europe be willing to take on the Ball sideshow? That remains to be seen.
But what we do know is you can expect to see Big Baller Brand pop-up shops wherever the two boys end up playing, because LaVar is looking to take his brand global.
