'The Simpsons' Predicted Disney-21st Century Fox Deal 19 Years Ago

“The Simpsons” have a history of accurately predicting historic events and now you can add the Disney-21st Century FOX deal to the mix.
After accurately predicting Donald Trump’s bid for presidency to perfection — including his walking down the stairs and an onlooker dropping a sign over the railing, people have been digging to see what the show could have predicted next.
Well, back in a 1998 episode — a whopping 19 years ago — Homer pitched a script to Ron Howard and Brian Grazer produced.
During the episode, the screen flashes to a sign in front of Fox headquarters — at the time called 20th Century Fox — and showed that it was a “division of Walt Disney Co.”

On Thursday, the news became official that Disney is buying a large portion of 21st Century Fox for a whopping $52.4 billion. Disney gets the 21st Century Fox movie studio, regional sports networks, FX, National Geographic and Fox’s stakes in Hulu.
But while the news was only officially announced today, “The Simpsons” knew all along.
