Emory Jones Recruiting: QB Flips From Ohio State To Florida

The Emory Hunt recruiting saga has reached its conclusion and the Ohio State Buckeyes’ loss is the Florida Gators’ gain.
On Wednesday afternoon, the first day of the new early signing period, the four-star quarterback from Heard County in Franklin, Georgia announced he has flipped his commitment to Florida.
Jones made the news official during a ceremony at his high school.
The Florida coaching staff reacted with an eruption of applause after Jones made his announcement.

Shortly after the news was official, Florida head coach Dan Mullen welcomed Jones to the squad.

Jones chose the Gators over offers from programs like Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia.
The 6-foot-2 dual-threat quarterback is the 7th ranked prospect in the state of Georgia and the No. 4 overall recruit at his position. Nationally, Jones ranks as the 40th best prospect, so it is a major get for Mullen and his program as they look to move forward.
