One WVU basketball player could be in some hot water after being caught on video appearing to punch a Texas Tech fan.
Following the Red Raiders’ upset victory over the No. 2 Mountaineers on Saturday night, Texas Tech fans stormed the court. That’s when one player appeared to reach over and punch a fan as he was making his way through the crowd.
One person who was at the game wrote, “Great win! Watch the WV player throw a punch and hit a student rushing the floor. Another reason not to rush the floor when you are 8th in the nation.”
Sports Illustrated shared a zoomed in video of the incident.

Texas Tech will likely be fined by the conference for their fans rushing the court, while WVU will be forced to look through the grainy footage to determine who the player in question was and whether there will be any punishment.
