Richard Sherman Trade: Seahawks Exploring Options For CB

Former All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman could be on the move.
Wednesday, rumors began swirling surrounding Sherman’s future with the Seattle Seahawks after some of his teammates sent out cryptic messages on social media that indicated the defensive back will not be returning in 2018.
Sherman reportedly met with the Seahawks on Wednesday and the team is now considering trade options.
“Following Seahawks CB Richard Sherman’s meeting with team brass, they are expected to explore trade options, I’m told. They could trade him or release him, or potentially keep him (likely at a different salary),” NFL insider Ian Rapoport wrote on Twitter.

If Sherman is moved, the Seahawks would clear $11 million in cap space.
The news comes on the same day that Seattle traded away star defensive end Michael Bennett to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Seahawks defense will now look much different next season, especially if Sherman is traded away.
Last season, Sherman played in just nine games before tearing his Achilles.
