Michigan football player Elysee Mbem-Bosse went on a Twitter tirade this week that included a series of disturbing tweets and an apparent threat directed at Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh. The tweets have since been deleted from Mbem-Bosse’s official account, but they have been captured in the gallery above. The screenshots were captured by Reddit CFB.
The junior linebacker was recently removed from the Michigan roster.
There is no word on what led to the series of tweets, but Mbem-Bosse did indicate he was suspended after leaving to attend to a family matter.
The Wolverines have yet to comment on the situation.
During his time at Michigan, Mbem-Bosse has seen very limited action and has just one official tackle on his stat sheet. That tackle came during his freshman season in Ann Arbor.
With his removal from the roster, it now appears that Mbem-Bosse will be looking to transfer out of Michigan, though he could run into some roadblocks as the disturbing tweets continue to make the rounds. Regardless of the situation, threatening your coach and hinting at gun violence is never a good look.
Of course, there is the possibility that Mbem-Bosse’s account was hacked, so we still need more answers before we can fully grasp what went wrong and led to this poor decision.
