The Team USA U18 basketball team is currently competing at the 2018 FIBA U18 Americas Championship in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.ย The tournament features the USA, Canada, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, Chile, Argentina, and Ecuador.
On Monday night, things did not go so well for Panama when they were matched up against the United States.
Led by Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self, the United States jumped out to an incredible 43-0 lead. That’s right, the United States was closing in on the 50-point mark before their opponents were able to find the bottom of the net.
There was no hope.

This is how bad things were for the overmatched Panama side.
Seriously. I feel so bad for Panama. pic.twitter.com/l1hQ2W7qdF

And it never got better.
The United States would go on to continue their shellacking and finished the game with a 118-26 win. It’s safe to say that Bill Self and his squad — which is made up of some of the top high school recruits in the nation and prospects like Quentin Grimes, Tyrese Maxey, and Cole Anthony — are the overwhelming favorites in the tournament.
Next up for the 2-0 Team U18 is a meeting with Puerto Rico.
