LOOK: Rutgers Football Unveils New Adidas Uniforms For 2018

The Rutgers football program has unveiled a brand new look for the 2018 season. On Monday, Aug. 6, the Scarlet Knights rolled out their adidas look for the upcoming season and it’s a simple, yet modern twist at the look the team has worn for the past couple of seasons. Not much has changed, but the small tweaks have cleaned up the Scarlet Knights’ look.
Rutgers’ new uniforms have a New York Giants-esque feel to them.
The biggest change is the removal of “Rutgers” across the chest of the uniforms. It has been replaced with the block “R” under the neckline.
On the sleeves of the jersey, some subtle adidas branding will be in place with the return of three stripes which will also be featured on the side of the pants. One thing that remains the same is the outline of the state of New Jersey on the back of the jersey which will sit in the center above each player’s name. The font Rutgers will use is also slimmer.
One thing that remains unchanged is the team’s helmets.

Rutgers kicks off its 2018 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 against the Texas State Bobcats. Kickoff at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway is set for 12:00 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
