The 2018 Sun Belt Women’s volleyball season is just around the corner, so the preseason predictions have come pouring in. On Monday, Aug. 6, the conference announced its preseason poll and the preseason All-Conference honorees. Entering the season Coastal Carolina is favored in the East Division, while Texas State is a heavy favorite to repeat as West Division champions.
Leading the way in individual honors is Arkansas State senior outside hitter Carlisa May, who was named the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Last season, May earned Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year honors for the second-straight season and was named to the Sun Belt Championship All-Tournament Team.
Texas State junior defensive specialist Micah Dinwiddle was named Preseason Defensive Player of the Year after earning the award last season.
