Was The New Star Of 'The Bachelor', Colton Underwood, Any Good At Football?

Before he was known for starring in the 23rd season of The Bachelor, Colton Underwood was an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State University who had a cup of coffee in the NFL with the Chargers, Eagles, and Raiders.
If you don’t watch The Bachelor and Underwood’s name sounds familiar, that’s because he was the dude who shot his shot at the famed United States Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Aly Raisman… and actually drained it.

Following that moment of virality, Raisman and Underwood dated for a bit before breaking up in 2017. Gotta respect it, even though he still remains an (alleged) virgin afterward.

But back to football: was he any good at it? Well, good enough to get signed as an undrafted free agent, as he was picked up by the San Diego Chargers in 2014. Following the 2014 season — after bouncing between the Chargers and the Eagles’ practice squads — Underwood was waived by the Chargers and signed by the Raiders, who later waived him before the start of the 2016 season.
So while he may not have been good enough to make a career out of the NFL, he used the platform to score Aly Raisman and start a relatively successful reality television career, as he competed on season 14 of The Bachelorette and will star in season 23 of The Bachelor. He also registered a sack while wearing an NFL jersey with his name on the back, which is something not many people can say:

Season 23 of The Bachelor is expected to premiere sometime in early 2019.
