The Arizona State football team will be breaking out some brand new uniforms for Week 3 of the 2018 season. This week, the Sun Devils took to social media to proudly show off their new look for their night game against the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday, Sept. 15.
As is the case with the rest of Arizona State’s uniforms for this season, the most notable change to the jerseys is the removal of the name across the chest.
Rather than reading “Arizona State,” the Sun Devils opted to have a hidden patter that emulates the state flag of Arizona. It’s a subtle, but slick feature that really gives a modern twist to an otherwise simplified look.
The helmet bumper reads “PT*42” which is a tribute to former Sun Devils star Pat Tillman, who was killed while serving in the military.
