For the first time since 2005, Stanford vs. Notre Dame will be a matchup of top 10 teams. The Cardinal and Fighting Irish are looking to continue standout seasons and position themselves for a run to the College Football Playoff when they square off in prime-time in South Bend on Saturday night.
“I hope it’s a great atmosphere,” Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said, via ESPN.
“We thrive on our home field. We’ve had a good run going at home. To have a home game against a top-10 opponent when you’re a top-10 team, these are the moments that you wait for.”
Notre Dame has not defeated Stanford since 2014, so the Fighting Irish are hoping to claim the Legends Trophy for the next year.
