Florence South Carolina Active Shooter: Full Story & Must-See Details

Florence County Emergency Management is reporting to an ‘active shooter’ situation in Florence, South Carolina. The shooting happened in Vintage Place off of Hoffmeyer Road in Florence.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, three county deputies and two city officers have been shot. There is no word on the injured conditions of the injured officers at this time.

At this time, there is no description of the suspect or indication of their motives in the shooting.

In a response to the shooting, nearby West Florence high school is barricaded and on lockdown. Furthermore, authorities have asked all civilians to avoid the area at this time.

The SWAT team reportedly responded to the scene.

The Florence County Emergency Management released the following alert on Twitter:

Due to a high priority call in Vintage Place off of Hoffmeyer Rd in FLORENCE. There is an active shooter incident in progress at this time. We are advising everyone to stay away from this area. We have FCSO along with City PD and other first responders handling this situation.
