The 2018-19 college basketball is in its early stages, with one week of regular season in the books. While there is plenty of time until March Madness and the 2019 NCAA Tournament, it hasn’t stopped oddsmakers from looking ahead at who could raise the national championship trophy.
A lot could change as the season kicks into full swing, teams find their groove and others are struck with injuries, but we already have one heavy favorite emerging as we prepare to enter Week 2.
According to the folks at Odds Shark, the Duke Blue Devils are the current favorites to come away with the national title this season.
Mike Krzyzewski’s Duke squad — which is led by freshman sensation Zion Williamson — is currently listed at +200.
Sitting behind the Blue Devils is the Kansas Jayhawks at +800, while the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Virginia Cavaliers are tied at +1200. Other teams that made the top ten are the Tennessee Volunteers, Nevada Wolf Pack, North Carolina Tar Heels, Villanova Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, and Kentucky Wildcats.
