Kansas Football: Chip Lindsey Hired To Lead Les Miles Offense

The Kansas football program is putting together a star-studded coaching staff. On Tuesday, December 4, Jayhawks head coach Les Miles announced his first hire on the offensive side of the ball. Miles named former Auburn Tigers offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey to lead his offense.
It is the same role that Lindsey spent the last two seasons serving at Auburn.
Lindsey previously worked at Auburn as an offensive analyst when the Tigers won the SEC Championship and National Championship with Cam Newton at the helm.
“It is a great day when you can add a coach like Chip Lindsey to your staff,” said Miles in an official statement. “He has a proven track record of putting exciting, electric offenses on the field and he also has built a strong reputation of developing his players. With the returning players we have on offense and the pieces that we are putting together now in recruiting, we have the potential to be much improved.”
While Lindsey does have a high pedigree, his last season at Auburn was less than stellar. Lindsey led Auburn’s offense to its worst season under Gus Malzahn’s tenure and saw quarterback Jarrett Stidham regress.
Miles will be hoping that Lindsey returns to his top form when he leads the Jayhawks offense.
