Lane Kiffin and the FAU football program are making some major moves. This week, it was announced that the Owls have added the services of former five-star offensive lineman Calvin Ashley.
Ashley was previously ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle recruit and the No. 26 overall recruit in the nation.
The announcement was given on social media.
“The decision for me transferring from Auburn University was carefully thought about but I eventually came to a decision to do so,” he wrote on Twitter. “Now that I’ve had some time to explore my options, I’ve came to the decision that I will be enrolling in Florida Atlantic University in the summer.”

Ashley, the former Auburn five-star offensive lineman who left the team in February, announced Monday night that he’s transferring to FAU.
While Ashley arrived at Auburn in 2017 as the sixth-best offensive tackle and 26th-best overall prospect in that year’s recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he redshirted in 2017 and then missed the second half of last season due to an undisclosed medical issue.

A year ago, Lane Kiffin and the Owls had a lackluster campaign with an overall record of 5-7. The disappointing year for the program followed an impressive 2017 campaign for Florida Atlantic where they compiled a record of 11-3.
