Nassir Little Health Update: UNC Star Appears Healthy Ahead Of Sweet 16

The North Carolina Tar Heels are one of the favorites to win the 2019 NCAA tournament. Their game against Auburn will determine if the Tar Heels advance to the Elite 8, however, UNC may have to play the game short-handed.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that five-star freshman Nassir Little could possibly miss today’s game. Little has been experiencing flu-like symptoms and his status for today’s game is still in question.
On Thursday afternoon, North Carolina issued a statement regarding Little’s status.
“Carolina freshman forward Nassir Little will not practice today due to illness (flulike symptoms). He did not practice yesterday in Chapel Hill and his status for Friday’s game vs. Auburn is questionable. He will not be available today for interviews,”
The Tar Heels would seemingly take a big hit if Little fails to play. For starters, he has solidified himself as one of UNC’s best defenders, but it’s his offensive ability that would surely be missed.
In the first round against Iona, Little posted 19 points. And in the round of 32, he put up 20 points against Washington, which led North Carolina into the Sweet 16.
However, UNC fans might have some hope after North Carolina’s most recent tweet.
The official Twitter account posted a video of players at shootaround and right in the middle of it was Little.

North Carolina and Auburn will square off at 7:29 pm. The game will air on TBS.
