LOOK: Here Are The 23 NFL Prospects Attending The Draft

The 2019 NFL Draft is right around the corner. The Arizona Cardinals will officially be on the clock on April 25 and are leaning towards taking Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, according to the latest draft buzz. The Heisman Trophy winner is one of 23 prospects attending the draft in Nashville, the league announced.
The draft’s top prospect Nick Bosa will also be attending the draft but Ohio State teammate Dwayne Haskins Jr. will not be joining him. His absence from the draft is notable as he is the only top quarterback not attending the draft. Baker Mayfield did not attend the draft last year and he still was taken with the first pick.
Oklahoma and Alabama will have the best representation in Nashville as they have three invitees. Murray is joined by receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and offensive tackle Cody Ford. Running back Josh Jacobs, offensive tackle Jonah Williams, and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams are Alabama’s prospects at the draft.
Iowa and LSU are the other schools that will have multiple players at the 2019 NFL Draft. Noah Fant and T.J. Hockenson could become the first ever tight end duo to get drafted in the first round for the Hawkeyes. Cornerback Greedy Williams and linebacker Devin White are both seen as the top players in their position.
Outside of Haskins Jr., A.J. Brown might be the biggest absence from the 2019 NFL Draft. He is among the top receivers in his class and has the potential to be a top-20 pick on April 25. Brown and teammate D.K. Metcalf could become the first wide receiver duo to go in the first round since 2007.
Clemson’s Dexter Lawrence was also not invited to the draft, but his stock has dipped since the end of the regular season. His failed drug test before the College Football Playoff has not helped, along with his limited pass rush ability. Lawrence also got injured during the Scouting Combine and has been unable to build up his scouting profile.
The best draft moments are when the audience is able to see players in the green room get drafted. The pressure of getting drafted has finally been lifted and they can enjoy being an official part of the NFL. The 2019 NFL Draft kicks off on April 25 at 8 p.m.
