The rich continue to get richer. Demarkcus Bowman, a five-star running back out of Lakeland High School in Florida, announced his highly-anticipated college decision on Friday, May 3. Bowman was deciding between the Florida Gators and Clemson Tigers before ultimately choosing to join the reigning college football national champion.
Bowman announced his decision in a unique video that showed a video game character bearing his likeness suited up in a Clemson uniform.
Bowman is currently rated as the No. 2 running back in the nation, No. 1 recruit in the state of Florida, and the No. 17 overall prospect in the country. It’s a great addition for Dabo Swinney’s squad that hopes to continue being a major factor in the national picture.
If Bowman’s decision wasn’t enough to excite the Clemson faithful, Swinney was also able to lure five-star defensive end Bryan Bresee, the No. 1 player in the class, to the program. And on the heels of Bowman’s announcement, Clemson could also be adding the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the class, DJ Uiagalelei, who is set to announce his decision on Sunday, May 5.
Dabo is building a dynasty.
Clemson has reached the College Football Playoff in each of the last four years, winning two of the last three national championships. The Tigers have also claimed 18 ACC titles and has claimed its division in four consecutive seasons.
