Joe Johnson, a seven-time all-star has played for eight teams during his NBA career, Iso-Joe averaged 16 points per game and four assists per game. He was not signed to a team last season and decided to play in the Big 3 League. Johnson would put on a show every game played and would make a name for himself with his constant internet highlights of him hitting a four-point shot or him hitting a game-winning shot. Joe Johnson, 38, has become popular with his first year in the Big 3 League. NBA teams are looking to bring him back into the NBA.

Joe Johnson has made his name known in the Big3 League. Johnson was named a captain for an expansion team known as the triplets which also included former NBA players Al Jefferson and Alan Anderson. Johnson had a fantastic first season leading the league in points per game averaging almost 22 a game. He also led the league in assists per game with three a game and number of four-pointers made with four. Johnson would lead his team to a 7-1 record and would later be named the MVP of the league in his first year.
Johnson also brought his team to the championship where he would take on former NBA player Stephen Jackson and the Killer Three’s and would win 50-39 with Joe Johnson scoring 28 0f the 50 points. He would also hit the game-winner to bring home the championship. Johnson said playing in the Big3 League helped him out mentally. “I use it as therapy. My mom passed away in February. And being an only child, it was tough on me. So I just needed to do to keep me busy, and the Big3 was it.” LeBron James was in attendance for the championship game and congratulated him on the win.

Joe Johnson last played in an NBA game during the 2017-2018 NBA season. Johnson would play for the Houston Rockets after being traded from Utah, Johnson would go onto play in 23 games before being waived off the team. Johnson averaged about points per game while playing for the Houston Rockets. After being waived from the Rockets, Johnson would sign with the Big3. His performance there would get him recognized by a couple of NBA teams.
Iso Joe, after winning the Big3 championship and being named MVP, would be called by the Bucks. Nets and Pistons for a workout. The exposure gotten from the Big 3 has helped another player get back to the NBA in Xavier Silas. Silas went undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft and would play for the Philidelphia 76ers in 2012. Silas was signed to a 10-day contract by the Boston Celtics in 2018 and is now playing in the G-League. Johnson would be among many veterans that could potentially return to the NBA players like Larry Sanders, Amare Stoudemire, All Jefferson and Royce White can all be potential choices to make a return to the NBA.
Big3 co-founder Ice Cube said the NBA paying attention to the Big 3 is a huge success. “Whether Joe gets picked up or not. The fact NBA teams are even looking at our players is a huge win for the Big3.”
